Share a study with collaborators
Use study sharing to invite collaborators to review or edit a study without creating new accounts.
info
Only the study owner can add, edit, or remove shared users. Collaborators cannot see who else has access.
Share a study
- Open the Dashboard and click Edit for the study you want to share. (Save the study at least once first.)
- Open the Sharing tab and find the Share with researchers section, then click Add researcher.
- Enter the collaborator's sign-in email and choose an access level.
- Click Save. The collaborator will see the study the next time they sign in with that email.
Access levels
| Capability | Viewer | Analyst | Editor |
|---|---|---|---|
| View the study and its results | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Annotate and run analyses on results | No | Yes | Yes |
| Moderate live sessions | No | Yes | Yes |
| Edit the study configuration | No | No | Yes |
- Viewer has read-only access to the study and its participation results.
- Analyst adds the ability to annotate results (notes, labels, markers, transcription edits), run analyses, and moderate live sessions.
- Editor adds the ability to edit the study configuration on top of everything an Analyst can do.
All collaborators see participant data
Every access level (Viewer, Analyst, and Editor) can view the full participation results, including recordings and any demographic information collected. The levels differ in what a collaborator can do, not in what they can see. Only share a study with people authorized to access its participant data, and remove access when it is no longer needed.
Manage access
- Change level: Click Edit in the Sharing table to change a collaborator's access level.
- Remove access: Click Delete to revoke access. The study will disappear from the collaborator's Dashboard.
tip
Always use the exact email address your collaborator uses to sign in.
